AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic brings its own dynamics in society. The government is trying to overcome the problem of the pandemic from various aspects, from the health side to the social side. In order to launch policies related to this, the government carries out a socialization process in the community. As a multicultural country, Indonesia has a diversity of cultures and social life. This diversity becomes a reinforcement or can even be an obstacle to the socialization process. This means that the socio-cultural aspects that exist in Indonesia are a challenge in itself from the socialization process by the government. Therefore, this study answers one main question, namely how is the socialization strategy for handling the pandemic by the Indonesian government when viewed from a socio-cultural approach? This paper was prepared using a qualitative method and a case study approach. Then to increase confidence in the results of the analysis, this study uses triangulation techniques. The results show that there is collaboration between the government and the community in policy socialization. The community plays an active role in alleviating the epidemic in Indonesia. This shows that the culture of participation in the community is still strong and can be maximized to disseminate further government policies, especially in the case of a pandemic.Downloads
