Abstract

Utilization of Instagram Social Media as a Means of Political Information for the PKS Faction in North Sumatra Province. The PKS Party was born from the 1998 reform movement, and it can be said that PKS is a nationalist party. On July 20 1998, PKS was founded with the initial name of the Justice Party (abbreviated as PK) at a press conference in the Al-Azhar Mosque Hall, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta. The president (chairman) of this party is Nurmahmu di Isma'il. This research applies qualitative methods with field study techniques (interviews and observations). Aspects that will be researched include the use of Instagram social media as a means of political information in the PKS faction, inhibiting factors in the use of the PKS faction's Instagram social media as political information, how to create attractive e-flyers according to PKS public relations. By examining these aspects, this research aims to understand the extent to which party public relations use Instagram social media as a means of political information.
