Abstract

Dalam tulisan ini dibahas upaya mewujudkan siaran yang sehat bagi masyarakat. Siaran yang sehat adalah siaran yang berpedoman kepada Undang-Undang No. 32 Tahun 2002 dan P3-SPS dalam setiap prakteknya. Lembaga-lembaga penyiaran kita masih banyak melakukan pelanggaran terhadap Undang-Undang No. 32 tahun 2002 dan Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran (P3)-Standar Program Siaran (SPS) terutama yang terkait dengan adegan kekerasan dan sadisme, pornografi/porno-aksi, dan siaran-siaran berbau mistik. Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia Daerah Sumatera Utara (KPID-SU) perlu bekerjasama dengan berbagai pihak dalam mencegah siaran-siaran yang menyimpang tersebut.
