Abstract

Corak tafsir al-Adab al-Ijtima'i adalah corak tafsir yang menjelaskan petunjuk-petunjuk ayat-ayat Alquran yang berkaitan langsung dengan masyarakat, serta usaha-usaha untuk menanggulangi penyakit-penyakit masyarakat atau masalah-masalah mereka berdasarkan petunjuk ayat-ayat, dengan mengemukakan petunjuk-petunjuk tersebut dalam bahasa yang mudah dimengerti dan dimplementasikan dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Yang terpenting dalam penafsiran corak adab al-ijtima'i, teks-teks adalah Alquran dikaitkan dengan realitas kehidupan masyarakat, tradisi sosial dan sistem peradaban, sehingga dapat fungsional dalam memecahkan persoalan. Dengan demikian, mufassir berusaha mendiagnosa persoalan-persoalan umat Islam khususnya dan umat manusia pada umumnya, untuk kemudian mencarikan jalan keluar berdasarkan petunjuk-petunjuk Alquran, sehingga dirasakan bahwa ia selalu sejalan dengan per kembangan zaman dan masyarakat.
