KEDUDUKAN HADIS GARIB SEBAGAI HUJJAH DALAM AJARAN ISLAM

Abstract

Dalam kajian Hadis ditinjau dari segi kuantitas periwayatnya, maka kajian Hadis ini dapat digolongkan kepada dua macam, yaitu mutawatir dan ahad. Mutawatir dibagi lagi kepada dua macam, yaitu mutawatir lafzi dan mutawatir ma'nawi. Sedangkan ahad dibagi kepada tiga macam, yaitu: masyhur, ‘aziz dan garib. Jika ditinjau dari segi kualitas, hadis yang tergolong mutawatir tidak diperlukan lagi untuk diteliti sebab sudah diyakini validitas dan keorisinalitasannya oleh ulama hadis. Berbeda dengan hadis yang tergolong ahad, masih diperlukan penelitian jika ingin dijadikan sebagai sumber ajaran Islam. Sebab, hanya hadis yang tergolong kualitas maqbul (yaitu yang berkualitas sahih dan hasan) yang dapat digunakan sebagai hujjah. Sementara hadis garib merupakan salah satu dari bagian hadis ahad. Berdasarkan itu maka pentingnya artikel ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana sebenarnya kedudukan hadis garib sebagai hujjah dalam ajaran Islam.
