Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian terhadap struktur frekuensi dalam Bahasa Arab (BA) berkaitan dengan modus kalimat deklaratif, kalimat interogatif, dan kalimat imperatif yang diteliti dengan menggunakan program Praat. Dalam menentukan struktur di atas, tahapan yang harus dilakukan, yaitu seleksi korpus data, pengukuran frekuensi pada tuturan yang dijadikan kalimat target, dan deskripsi alir nada (pitch movement) yang biasa disebut local attributes yang membentuk struktur nada (pitch contours) atau yang biasa disebut global attributes. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fonetik akustik, yaitu dalam hal ini dari segi frekuensi.
