1st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF DA'WAH AND RELIGIOUS MODERATION FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI SUMATERA UTARA MEDAN

Background
The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication (FDC) is the one of faculty in the State Islamic University of North Sumatera. The faculty is a home to four programs, including Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, Islamic Community Development, and Da’wah Management. With different study fields, FDC has become a safe place for the investigation and development of a wide range of knowledge. All of the topics under discussion are important for the development of Islam in Indonesia. Thus, it is necessary for the faculty to build more connections to the world in relation to knowledge by holding an international conference as the place to discuss and expand the already established scientific fields.

This conference will discuss issues in under da’wah and communication with the theme of Religious Moderation: Tolerance and Harmony in Disruption Era explored from various perspectives and approaches: technology, economy, politics, law, social, and culture, from both social and natural science. This conference invites presenters and speakers from various knowledge background to gain novel model and ideas of moderate islam that is sustainable and confirming to the current world.

It is now necessary to create a place for experts and researchers to discuss the topic of Religious Moderation in order to solve related problems. The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication of UIN Sumatera Utara aims to become a wahdatul-‘ulum campus. In order to achieve this goal, FDC has developed a number of strategies that would be implemented in various events that support the development of a wahdatul-‘ulum culture. The International Conference, which is annually scheduled, is one of the main events in the FDC.

Objectives
There are three main objectives of the conference:

1. Exploring and discussing the concept of religious moderation with the goal of promoting tolerance and harmony in disruption era.
2. Finding strategic steps to promote tolerance and harmony by using the concept of disruption.
3. Collaborating with Moderate Islam experts and researcher

Journal of Gender and Social Inclusion in Muslim Societies (JGSIMS) is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on gender and child issues. The Sociology of Religion Study Program has published a scholarly journal on the sociology of religion under the auspices of the Faculty of Social Sciences at UIN Sumatera Utara Medan since 2018. The journal addresses sociological perspectives on religion—such as the study of religion and society, socio-religious conflict, and the relationship between religion and media—while also featuring sociological and anthropological analyses, religious studies, and research findings related to social science themes.

In 2020, JISA received its initial accreditation at the Sinta 6 level pursuant to the Decree of the Minister of Research and Technology/Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency Number 85/M/KPT/2020 (dated April 1, 2020), valid from Volume 1, Number 1 (2018) through Volume 5, Number 1 (2022). Journal of Contemporary Islam and Muslim Societies [JCIMS] is a peer reviewed academic journal, established in 2016 as part of the Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sumatera Utara, Medan. The Journal of Contemporary Islam and Muslim Societies [JCIMS] is a biannual international academic journal dedicated to publishing studies on contemporary trends in Islam and Muslim societies within the Malay-Indonesian world from the 20th to the 21st centuries. Specifically, the journal emphasizes areas such as: (1) Local interpretations of Islam in the Malay-Indonesian world, manifested in manuscripts and institutions, (2) Their responses to global dynamics, (3) The implications of current trends for the future of Muslim societies in the region, and (4) Muslim minority groups within the region.

Sebagai jurnal yang telah TERAKREDITASI SINTA 5, IJTIMAIYAH menunjukkan komitmennya terhadap standar mutu publikasi ilmiah nasional yang terukur dan berkelanjutan. Status akreditasi ini menjadi bukti bahwa proses editorial, sistem penelaahan sejawat (peer review), serta kualitas artikel yang diterbitkan telah memenuhi kriteria penilaian ilmiah yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia. IJTIMAIYAH hadir sebagai ruang diseminasi pengetahuan yang mendorong integrasi antara teori dan praktik dalam bidang pendidikan serta ilmu sosial-budaya. Jurnal ini menerima artikel hasil penelitian empiris, kajian konseptual, studi literatur, maupun gagasan ilmiah aktual yang relevan dengan dinamika masyarakat kontemporer. Ruang lingkup kajian mencakup, namun tidak terbatas pada: pendidikan sosial, kebijakan pendidikan, transformasi budaya, dinamika sosial kemasyarakatan, pembangunan sosial, serta isu-isu strategis lokal, nasional, dan global dalam perspektif interdisipliner. Kami mengundang akademisi, peneliti, guru, dosen, mahasiswa, tenaga kependidikan, dan praktisi sosial-budaya untuk berkontribusi mengirimkan karya ilmiah terbaiknya. Melalui kolaborasi intelektual yang produktif dan berintegritas, IJTIMAIYAH berupaya memperluas cakrawala keilmuan serta memperkuat kontribusi akademik dalam pembangunan bangsa. IJTIMAIYAH meyakini bahwa publikasi ilmiah bukan sekadar wadah dokumentasi riset, tetapi merupakan instrumen transformasi sosial. AS-SAIS (JURNAL HUKUM TATA NEGARA/SIYASAH)

adalah Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara yang bergerak dalam bidang Hukum Tata Negara dan Siyasah. Jurnal ini merupakan Jurnal akademik yang dikelola dan diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Hukum Tata Negara Fakultas Syari’ah dan Hukum Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara Medan. Topik-topik kajian dalam jurnal terkait dengan bidang Hukum Tata Negara, Politik Islam dan Siyasah secara khusus maupun Hukum Islam secara umum yang dapat dikaji dengan berbagai perspektif disiplin ilmu.

Jurnal As-Sais telah memiliki ISSN-Print sejak tahun 2013. Terbitan terakhir adalah pada tahun 2017 bersamaan dengan penerbitan onlinenya, dan kemudian sempat vakum hingga tidak ada terbitan hingga tahun 2019, dan pada tahun 2020 kami berusaha untuk mengaktifkan kembali penerbitan jurnalnya bersamaan dengan memohon untuk penerbitan ISSN-Online (E-ISSN). Penerbitan lanjutan yang dilakukan tetap menggunakan nama yang sama dari awal mulai terbitnya di tahun 2013 dan tidak mengubahnya sama sekali.

Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat is an open access journal by Islamic Community Development Department, State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, Indonesia. This journal focuses on the articles and the results of scientific research publication in the field of Community Development. Editors accept scientific texts that have never been published in various media (print or electronic), or other scientific journals.

An Nadwah is an academic journal published twice annually (June - December) by Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera utara Medan in colaborated with Asosiasi Profesi Dakwah Indonesia (APDI) and Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah (PPJID). An Nadwah is is a scholarly journal aimed at publishing cutting-edge and original research in the fields of da'wah and Islamic studies. This journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to share their research findings, expand their horizons, and discuss the latest challenges and developments in these disciplines. We welcome diverse contributions, both theoretical and practical, that can significantly impact the understanding and practice of da'wah and Islamic studies globally. Since December 2022, An Nadwah has been accredited at SINTA 5 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Number 225/E/KPT/2022, December 7, 2022.
