Perilaku Pencarian Informasi Mahasiswa di Youtube Channel Beauty Vlogger

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa di Youtube channel beauty vlogger dan mengetahui hubungan motif dari perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa melalui penggunaan Youtube channel beauty vlogger. Berdasarkan teori perilaku pencarian informasi oleh Wilson, tindakan perilaku informasi dipengaruhi oleh kebutuhan pribadi yang berkaitan dengan kebutuhan fisiologis, afektif, maupun kognitif. Kebutuhan ini terkait juga dengan peran seseorang di lingkungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan uji statistik Pearson Product Moment. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa sarjana (S1) Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran dengan penarikan sampel menggunakan tabel sampling error, ukuran sampel, dan proporsi binominal dengan 60/40 dan N sebanyak 150. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dalam melakukan pencarian informasi melalui situs Youtube.com menggunakan handphone kemudian menuliskan query nama dari beauty vlogger dan query tutorial make up di kolom search untuk mengakses tutorial make up. Lebih lanjut perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa memiliki hubungan yang tinggi dengan penggunaan Youtube channel beauty vlogger sedangkan motif individu memiliki hubungan yang moderat dengan penggunaan Youtube channel beauty vlogger, dan faktor lingkungan memiliki hubungan yang rendah dengan penggunaan Youtube channel beauty vlogger. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan yang paling kuat dalam melakukan pencarian informasi dipengaruhi oleh motif individu mahasiswa.References
