Abstract

Koleksi digital sudah menjadi bagian dari Library and Knowledge Center, Universitas Bina Nusantara untuk menjawab perubahan teknologi yang mengakibatkan tingkah laku sivitas akademika lebih sering menggunakan gawai dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Akan tetapi masih ada koleksi tercetak yang dilayankan. Rencananya akan banyak koleksi yang diubah menjadi digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi pemustaka jika seluruh koleksi di LKC dikonversi menjadi digital. Penelitian ini bersifat awal sehingga tidak bisa digeneralisasikan sebagai jawaban yang empiris. Pendekatan penelitiannya adalah kualitatif dengan metode eksploratoris. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap pemustaka sebagai informan utama dan pustakawan sebagai informan tambahan. Penulis juga melakukan observasi dan studi dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah para informan mendukung rencana konversi koleksi cetak menjadi digital. Akan tetapi ada beberapa pertimbangan yang diberikan informan utama terhadap rencana ini.
