Kontribusi KH. Zainal Abidin Munawwir di Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta, 1989 M - 2014 M

KH. Zainal Abidin Munawwir memiliki kontribusi yang cukup besar dalam kehidupan masyarakat, antara lain adalah pemikiran-pemikiran tentang ilmu fiqh, nasehat-nasehat dalam menyikapi permasalahan masyarakat masa kini, dan hasil dari pemikiran serta pendapatnya diwujudkan dalam menulis kitab /buku. Adapun kontibusi yang paling menonjol adalah peran Mbah Zainal dalam perkembangan dan kemajuan Pondok Pesantren al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta, yang diwujudkan dengan mendirikan dua lembaga pendidikan agama klasik (salaf), yaitu: Madrasah Salaiyyah II dan Perguruan Tinggi Ma'had Aly al-Munawwir Krapyak. Untuk mengetahui lebih dalam tentang KH. Zainal Abidin Munawwir maka digunakan pendekatan biografi dan menggunakan teori peran sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Erving Goffman. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap sejarah perjalanan hidup K.H. Zainal Abidin Munawwir sejak lahir hingga wafatnya serta kontribusinya dalam masyarakat, sehingga dalam penulisannya, peneliti menggunakan metode historis.References
