Perubahan Pemerintahan Mukim di Langsa pada Era Kolonial, 1907-1942

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perubahan struktur pemerintahan Mukim di Langsa pada Era Kolonial Belanda (1907-1942). Mukim merupakan lembaga institusional pemerintah adat di Aceh yang telah lama berdiri secara otonom. Pembentukan wilayah Mukim terkait erat dengan keberadaan untuk pengaturan kehidupan sosial (adat) maupun untuk kehidupan beragama (hukum) dan serta kemudian muncul menjadi unit pemerintah lokal. Federasi Mukim ini dipimpin oleh seorang Imeum, yang disebutkan sebagai Imuem Mukim. Dengan demikian Mukim bertipikal agama yang mengayomi masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Pemerintahan Mukim, Imeum Mukim, Langsa.References
