Interaksi antara Gerakan Sosial modernisme Muhammadiyah dengan Kegiatan Tradisional Yaqowiyyu di Jatinom

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami interaksi antara gerakan sosial modernisme yang dibawa oleh organisasi Muhammadiyah dengan kegiatan ritual kebudayaan Yaqowiyyu di Jatinom. Yaqowiyyu merupakan salah satu bentuk tradisi yang masih dilestarikan di Klaten. Tradisi Yaqowiyyu diwariskan dari Kyai Ageng Gribig, ulama besar di tanah Jawa. Tradisi ini dilaksanakan pada tiap pertengahan bulan Safar tahun Hijriyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dengan cara pengumpulan data secara kualitatif, mewawancarai pelaku sejarah yang masih hidup dan menganalisis dokumen-dokumen yang sudah ada. Beberapa warga Muhammadiyah ingin terus melestarikan salah satu kebudayaan yang lama ada di Jatinom dengan tidak memasukkan ideologi yang dikhawatirkan dapat merusak akidah orang Islam. Muhammadiyah menanamkan dan meluruskan arti sebenarnya dalam Tradisi Yaqowiyyu dan dengan tidak menyimpang dari syariat Islam.Kata Kunci: Yaqowiyyu, interaksi budaya, upacara tradisional, Muhammadiyah.References
