Abstract

This study examines Jurgen Habermas's critical hermeneutics, which integrates social critique with hermeneutic interpretation. Habermas argues that understanding texts must consider social, political, and power contexts. His main ideas include communicative rationality open and inclusive dialogue to achieve fair consensus and the public sphere as a space free from domination. This approach encourages readers not only to interpret texts passively but also to critique hidden ideologies for intellectual emancipation. Habermas's critical hermeneutics remains relevant for analyzing media, culture, and public discourse in the digital era.
