Filsafat Politik Locke: Negara Vs Oligarki, Diskursus Kasus Pagar Laut dan Tantangan Penegakan HAM di Indonesia

Abstract

John Locke's political philosophy remains relevant to modern Indonesian politics. The relationship between state, power, law enforcement and political ethics is an axiomatic unity in Locke's theory. This research aims to examine the symmetrical relationship between Locke's philosophy and state power, towards the enforcement of human rights and clashes between interest groups in the state process. The literature study research method uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques involve exploration and critical analysis of various literature related to the research topic in order to obtain an objective and comprehensive description. Data sources include primary references, namely the book History of Western Philosophy and Its Connection with Political and Social Circumtances From the Earliest Times to the Present Day, by Bertrand Russell and supporting references. The research results found rivalry between the state and the oligarchy which had an impact on sovereignty, stability and upholding human rights in Indonesia.
