Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari sekolah yang didirikan oleh Zending adalah untuk mendidik murid-murid menjadi guru dan mereka ini diberikan pengajaran umum, dan untuk mendidik murid-murid menjadi pendeta khusus dalam bidang agama. Pada abad ke 20 sistem pendidikan di Indonesia pada garis besarnya dapat dibagi atas tiga bagian, yaitu : 1. Pendidikan Barat yang diberikan oleh Belanda untuk anak-anak Eropa. 2. Pendidikan pribumi yang diberikan untuk anak-anak pribumi dengan memasukkan system Eropa. 3. Pendidikan Islam yang terpisah dari pendidikan Belanda.
