Pelaksanaan shalat berjamaah telah dilaksanakan sejak zaman nabi Muhammad saw. Sejak itu pula imam shalat berjamaah dipimpim oleh seorang imam lelaki dengan ketentuan syarat sah untuk menjadi imam. Terdapat polemik tentang adanya pandangan tentang kedudukan Imam perempuan jika bersamaan dengan makmum lak-laki berawal dari apa yang dilakukan oleh seorang Profesor wanita di Amerika yang menjadi imam bagi jamaah laki-laki. Artikel ini mengkaji tentang imam perempuan dalam perspektif hadis Rasulullah saw dan menyimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan shalat jamaah yang dilakukan imam perempuan tidak syah jika terdapat makmum laki-laki yang dewasa.Downloads
